In your frying pan cook up your meat, onions and peppers until the meat is cooked through. Take your package of taco seasoning and stir in meat mixture. Spread your meat mixture onto the bottom of the casserole dish. You then take your jar of queso and pour over meat mixture until evenly spread. Top with your tator tots. I like to line mine all up nicely. Then bake for 40 minutes, remove from the oven and cover with cheese (as much as you like) and bake until the cheese is melted. Usually can take 5-10 minutes more.</p><p style="font-family: "Avenir Next"; font-feature-settings: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-size-adjust: none; font-size: 16px; font-stretch: normal; font-style: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 22px;"><br /></p><p style="font-family: "Avenir Next"; font-feature-settings: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-size-adjust: none; font-size: 16px; font-stretch: normal; font-style: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;">I have also mixed in corn and a can of green chiles sometimes in the meat mixture before pouring it in the dish just to mix it up a little. <br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">These are my mom's ginger cookies. Everyone loves them and super easy to whip up. I usually double the batch and they won't last 2 days around my house. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">¾ cup shortening</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">1 cup sugar</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">1 egg</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">¼ cup molasses</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">2 cups flour</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">1 tsp baking soda</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">1 tsp cinnamon</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">1 tsp cloves</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">1 tsp ginger</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">¼ tsp salt</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">Preheat your oven to 325 degrees. Lightly grease or line cookie sheets. Cream together shortening and sugar. Beat in egg and molasses. Beat until light and fluffy. Sift together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, ginger and slat. Sift in dry ingredients. Shape into small balls and roll eat in sugar. I put sugar in a small container and put several balls in and shake. Place on cookie sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. I can get 6 dozen when I double the batch.</span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">This has become a huge hit in our house and it's a meal you can literally whip up in no time that tastes amazing. It is a recipe I found on manilaspoon.com and I guarantee you will love it!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">It is sweet, salty and has a little spicy kick. Takes less then 30 minutes to have on your table.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">1 lb ground beef</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">3 garlic cloves, peeled and minced</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">¼ cup soy sauce</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">¼ cup brown sugar</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">2 tsp. sesame oil</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">½ tsp ground ginger (or thumb size fresh ginger grated)</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">pinch of red pepper flakes</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">roasted sesame seed for garnish</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">3 green onions, thinly sliced</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">freshly cooked rice</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">1. Cook the beef and garlic in a preheated skillet until the meat turns brown. It's best when you cook the meat to a dark brown so it's a little crunchy.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">2. In a bowl mix together soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, ginger and pepper flakes. You can use fresh ginger as well here as it will add a lot of flavour.Pour the sauce into the beef and mix well. Cook just until everything is heated through.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">3. Serve on top of freshly cooked rice, garnish with sesame seeds and green onion.</span></div>
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">When I make this for my family of 7 I double the recipe. If I want to be sure to have lots of leftovers I will triple it as the kids like taking in lunches the next day.</span>The Super Sevenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02845738366821909228noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6937844877911896968.post-74661987573036946942017-11-08T13:54:00.000-04:002017-11-08T13:54:05.963-04:00Curry Vegetable Dip<div style="text-align: center;">

This is my most FAVOURITE cake ever!!! Love love love it!!!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
My mother in-law Charlotte is a stellar cook and this is her carrot cake </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
recipe that I just can't stop eating when it's around.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
3 eggs</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1 cup canola oil</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Beat together</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Add in : </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2 cups white sugar</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Mix together the following and then mix with above ingredients</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2 cups flour</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1 tsp cinnamon</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2 tsp baking soda</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2 tsp vanilla</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1 tsp salt</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
After all combined add in....</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2 cups shredded coconut</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1 cup crushed pineapple</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2 cup grated carrots</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Grease and flour pan/pans. I personally use a bundt pan. Bake for 1 hr 25 min. Since moving to SK from NS I find it only takes around 1 hour here so keep an eye on it and test around 1 hour.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I then ice it with cream cheese frosting, the thicker the better.....LOL. This recipe is from my BFF Jodie.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Beat 1-8oz block cream cheese with 1/4 cup butter and 1/2 tsp vanilla until smooth. Both will mix better softened. Add 3 to 4 cups of icing sugar. If you like it sweeter add 4 cups-- beat for a few minutes until creamy.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

These are the tastiest chicken drumsticks ever. This is another yummy recipe from my friend Jodie......boy do I miss all her yummy treats!!!<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Sauce:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
3 Tbsp Soy Sauce</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
3 Tbsp Water</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1/2 tsp salt</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1 cup white sugar</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1/2 cup vinegar</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Whisk together and set aside.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Take 8-10 chicken drumsticks and remove the skin. Cook drumsticks in a little oil in a frying pan on low heat until the are brown and the blood has come out. It looks gross but just do it :)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Remove from frying pan, put in casserole dish and cover with sauce. Bake at 350 for 45 min. I usually serve with rice and veggies. If using more drumsticks I double the sauce recipe. Enjoy!!</div>

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
So found this recipe through my <a href="http://www.franklyentertaining.com/">friends</a> cooking blog. It was a Pinterest find she made in her weekly menu. I thought it should delicious and the picture looked good so why not. I took it to my Mom's for supper and it was a success. I would make this again for sure....if I wouldn't I definitely wouldn't post it here.....</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
1 (2-3lb) boneless pork roast</div>
<div>
2/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese</div>
<div>
1/2 cup honey</div>
<div>
3 Tbsp soy sauce</div>
<div>
2 Tbsp dried basil</div>
<div>
2 Tbsp minced garlic</div>
<div>
2 Tbsp olive oil</div>
<div>
1/2 tsp salt</div>
<div>
2 Tbsp cornstarch</div>
<div>
1/2 cup cold water</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Spray your slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray. Place roast in slow cooker. In a small bowl combine everything BUT the cornstarch and water. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or until a meat thermometer reads 160º.</div>
<div>
Remove meat to a serving platter;keeping warm. Skim fat from cooking juices; transfer to a small saucepan. Bring liquid to a boil;cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Slice roast; serve with gravy.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
** When I made this I could barely get the roast out of the slow cooker. I pulled it apart before putting on the plate and put the gravy on the table for those to pour on their own meat. It's so yummy!!!! Enjoy!!!!<br />
<br />

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I have decided that I want to try some of the mouth watering pictures that I have pinned on Pinterest. I'd cook them all if it was in my budget.....I've tried 2 over the past week and I'm going to post both of them today. You'll LOVE them!!!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
1 onion, chopped</div>
<div>
1- 16oz can black beans ( mine were 19oz)</div>
<div>
1 -16 oz can kidney beans</div>
<div>
1- 8oz can tomato sauce ( mine was 398ml)</div>
<div>
10oz package frozen corn kernels</div>
<div>
1- 28 oz can diced tomatoes </div>
<div>
3 1/2 oz Old El Paso green chillies</div>
<div>
1 packet taco seasoning</div>
<div>
1 Tbsp cumin</div>
<div>
1 Tbsp chili powder</div>
<div>
3 boneless skinless chicken breasts</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Combine everything, except the chicken together in your crock pot and stir. Place your chicken on top and cover. Cook on low for 10 hours or on high for 6 hours. Half hour before serving , remove your chicken and shred. Return chicken to slow cooker and stir in.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
** The recipe called for diced tomatoes with the chillies in them. I couldn't find them so I used 1/2 of a 7 oz can of the green diced chillies. I shredded my chicken a few hours before it was done and it was still delicious!!!! I had mine with cheese and chips........forgot the sour cream when I was at the store. You could also top with cilantro. Enjoy!!!</div>

They never last more then more 24 hours and will always leave you wanting more. This recipe is from my friend Leslie Gallant and was in the Halifax Ward cookbook they put out a few years ago. </div><div><br /></div><div>3 large bananas</div><div>3/4 cup white sugar</div><div>1 egg</div><div>1 tsp baking soda</div><div>1 tsp baking powder</div><div>1/2 tsp salt</div><div>1 1/2 cups flour</div><div>1/3 cup melted margarine</div><div><br /></div><div>Mash bananas. Add sugar and slightly beaten egg. Add melted margarine then add dry ingredients. Bake at 375° for 20 minutes. You can also add 3/4-1 cup chocolate chipes to mixture for anyone with a sweet tooth. We LOVE them with the chocolate chips.....</div><div><br /></div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNFjAbWY7fUjUDab9eL7BAq7r4s7pDvkHj-gUJvQfpirdWR7Os_d8tESECfU7wUA1MXhu6UK7fd5xWJ8uanYSLZLAmBNLEL4kOAfizxfoctyBOmBLTrr90SfQR4MX3y1ZSTtXZVoWyGOod/s1600/photo.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 450px; height: 600px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNFjAbWY7fUjUDab9eL7BAq7r4s7pDvkHj-gUJvQfpirdWR7Os_d8tESECfU7wUA1MXhu6UK7fd5xWJ8uanYSLZLAmBNLEL4kOAfizxfoctyBOmBLTrr90SfQR4MX3y1ZSTtXZVoWyGOod/s600/photo.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5615554724670811138" /></a><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNFjAbWY7fUjUDab9eL7BAq7r4s7pDvkHj-gUJvQfpirdWR7Os_d8tESECfU7wUA1MXhu6UK7fd5xWJ8uanYSLZLAmBNLEL4kOAfizxfoctyBOmBLTrr90SfQR4MX3y1ZSTtXZVoWyGOod/s1600/photo.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYG22aY0tchPfMcGBbs-o5FLFu4QaDd9qvzZH0_bXEZSNPbw1zuFr5DdeeCAL5veTUtFLu3Xv63hZf3_QDMtlq_hJpn3No2poTFAXCDM2wloLhZdfkZlgQgS45NxeBsBvXrXIWHUF1XaEb/s1600/photo1.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width:500px; height: 450px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYG22aY0tchPfMcGBbs-o5FLFu4QaDd9qvzZH0_bXEZSNPbw1zuFr5DdeeCAL5veTUtFLu3Xv63hZf3_QDMtlq_hJpn3No2poTFAXCDM2wloLhZdfkZlgQgS45NxeBsBvXrXIWHUF1XaEb/s600/photo1.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5615554721442276402" /></a><br /></div>The Super Sevenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02845738366821909228noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6937844877911896968.post-14625099022779643832011-06-07T14:11:00.007-03:002017-11-08T13:57:48.455-04:00Cheese BallThis is a recipe that my sister in law Angie shared with me years ago and one that we love to make for parties or just for a yummy snack.<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
1- 8 oz. block of cream cheese</div>
<div>
1 cup grated old cheddar cheese</div>
<div>
1/2 Tbsp onion powder</div>
<div>
1/2 Tbsp garlic powder</div>
<div>
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce</div>
<div>
Dash of cayenne pepper</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Mix everything together in food processor or use your hand mixer. Roll into a ball and roll in graham cracker crumbs for a nice appearance. Let sit in fridge overnight before serving. The longer it sits, the better the taste. Can keep in fridge for up to 2 weeks. Serve with crackers of your own choice. We love wheat thins or toppables!!</div>
<div>
